Nick's New haven APizza

I had heard a few rumblings about Nick's New Haven Pizza and I couldn't wait to give it a try. On a recent balmy night Michelle and I headed over to Boca to try out their famous pie. We arrived without a reservation and only waited a few minutes for a table. As customers were leaving I asked about their experience and they all said they loved it! My mouth was watering with anticipation.

Grande Pizza Company Boca Raton

I scored a Groupon coupon for this place and although I didn't even try the pizza until the second visit I have been back for more three times.

This is not your typical pizza joint. You walk in past a tall counter behind which sits the pizza ovens. The place opens up into a large room with a big U shaped bar and several tables. Then when I tasted the food and I KNEW it was different!

Vito's Gourmet Pizza of Boynton Beach

Michelle and I took in a movie on Monday evening. It was a cute romantic comedy called "Friends With Benefits," at the Cinemark Boynton Beach. After the movie, at about 9:30pm, we wanted to find a place where we could get a pizza before going home. Most of the places we have frequented, including Dominic's right across Congress, would be closing around that time but I remembered driving by a place a few blocks away on the North side of Boynton Beach Blvd a block or two East of Congress.

Tucci's Fire N Coal Pizza

"Have you been to Tucci's?" One of my bloggers asked. "They've got the best pizza in South Florida," he continued.

So I made it a point to check out the pizza at Tucci's, located near Palmetto Park Road and Federal Highway in downtown Boca. It was a little tricky getting there since you can't go North on NE 1st Ave from Palmetto Park Road, so I had to circle a couple of blocks. Parking can be a challenge. Since it was after regular working hours I was able to find a spot in the lot next door.
