I'm tired of it. Worn out hearing it. I almost choke whenever it is uttered. But it will never go away.
"It's the water," they say.
"New York pizza is the best pizza in the world!"
"You can only get good pizza in Chicago!"
"Little Italy, the best!"
The fact about it is that good pizza is everywhere. Good pizza is like music. Each person has their own specific preference for what is the best. One person likes thin and another likes thick. How can you argue?
"If it isn't thin with a crispy crust, piping hot with grease running down your fingers as you try to funnel the tip into your mouth, then it isn't REAL pizza!"
Just like anything else, everyone has an opinion. And when I tell them,"I went to NY. I ate pizza. No big deal. Didn't taste any "better" than what I eat in South Florida at one of my favorite pizza joints."
"Well, then," they reply, "you didn't get it from the right place!"
Now, it's not only the right water, and the right city, but it has to be the right pizza joint!
What's your opinion?
